DescriptionYou will learn how to build the foundation of a strong team and how to create effective intervention strategies to build and maintain high performance.
This course is designed to teach you when and how to set up effective teams and facilitate interventions to improve team performance. You will be given a road map for building team effectiveness as well as gain practical techniques for facilitating high impact team interventions.
We will review models and case study applications to bring concepts to life. In addition, we will create a microcosm of a team right in class to experiment with the impact of effective and ineffective team behaviors and processes.
The course is designed for OD and HRD practitioners charged with improving the effectiveness, efficiency and responsiveness of teams. It requires the active participation of all participants.

Identify different types of teams and their purpose
Know how to unify and align a team to company goals
Create and tailor a high performing team for the situation or project at hand
Use a diagnostic model to improve team dynamics in key areas such as team roles, decision-making, conflict, difficult situations, etc.

Create team intervention plans using assessment tools and root cause analysis
Lead a successful team intervention and create metrics to track the health of the team
