The Food Protection and Defense Institute is hosting a Food Defense and Intentional Adulteration Rule training on April 22-23, 2020 in Minneapolis, MN. This two-day course provides the convenience and interaction of a single, in person class to more comprehensively learn the breadth and interconnections of IA Rule requirements including how to:
- Prepare a Food Defense Plan
- Conduct vulnerability assessments including the full FSPCA Intentional Adulteration Conducting Vulnerability Assessment Course (IAVA)
- Identify and explain mitigation strategies
- Conduct reanalysis
The course includes instruction for all tasks where the IA Rule requires food defense qualified individuals conducting or overseeing these tasks to “have successfully completed training for the specific function at least equivalent to that received under a standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by FDA or be otherwise qualified through job experience to conduct the activities” (21 CFR 121.4(c)(2)).
