Understand colonization as an ongoing phenomena rooted in injustice and oppression for the pursuit of Indigenous lands. Using the child welfare system and social work as examples, participants will examine how Indigenous Nations continue to rely on our restorative and decolonial practices to heal from historical trauma and resist ongoing colonial violence to protect our future generations.
