Do you want to help others become successful renters? Are you interested in learning more about the RentWise curriculum? University of Minnesota Extension invites professionals, human services providers, teachers and volunteers to attend a RentWise train-the-trainer workshop.

RentWise is a comprehensive curriculum that provides education and skills on renting. You can use the curriculum in one-on-one or group settings. Workshop participants will:

  • Get an overview of the RentWise curriculum, its program goals, target audience, theories and research.
  • Explore all three RentWise units. (See more at RentWise curriculum.)
  • Review how to facilitate the RentWise program, including how to use the facilitator’s manual, workbook, participant folder, handouts and supplemental materials.

May 8: Sandstone
May 14: Crookston
May 15: Grand Rapids
May 22: Chaska
May 30: Marshall
June 27: Rochester

All workshops will be held from 10am - 2:30pm. If none of the Spring 2024 in-person dates/times work, you are invited to participate in the Online RentWise Train-the-Trainer Course.

Fees

$150 for individuals or the first person within an organization; $50 for each additional person within the same organization. The cost includes access to the online educational package and lunch.

No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests received after registration closes (one week prior to scheduled course date). Cancellation requests received prior to close of registration will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee.
