CSE Student Engagement and DEI Sponsorship 2024-2025
The College of Science and Engineering Student Engagement and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team coordinates programming and initiatives that engage the entire undergraduate student population of the College (more than 5,800 undergraduate students). Our team thinks of student engagement as students being very intentional with their time; making choices that provide personal and professional development. Your partnership will be an integral part of our programs and initiatives and will offer our students impactful opportunities to connect with sponsors in meaningful ways. Please start the process by either logging in or signing in as a new user.
Sponsorship Opportunities:
CSE Community Impact Awards
The College of Science and Engineering recognizes excellence among our students, faculty, and staff as they work toward a more inclusive and welcoming institution for all students. The Community Impact Awards celebrate the numerous efforts that are undertaken by CSE community members to promote belonging and community. Thanks to the generous sponsors of this event we are grateful to be able to recognize student award winners. Show your support for our grassroots community impact efforts throughout the College!
CSE Community of Diverse Engineers & Scientists (CODES); Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
The CSE Community of Diverse Engineers & Scientists is a reorganization of existing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs within the College. Bringing together existing mentorship, residential community, professional development, and social activities will provide a streamlined organization that hopefully offers great program reach, more efficient logistics, and overall greater support of our diverse study body. Sponsors will be imperative to the growth and support of diverse students within CSE.
CSE Week 2025; annually in April
This annual celebration dates back to 1914 and was originally celebrated as Engineers Day. Over the years the celebration has grown and expanded into a weeklong series of events celebrating engineering, physical sciences, and mathematics. CSE student organization Plumb Bob organizes the framework of the event, but also partners with other CSE-based student organizations and units to host professional, competitive, and social events of all different kinds. Signature events during the week are hosted cookouts that welcome more than 300 students daily! Signature events are wonderful opportunities for sponsors to meet with students, share information about future opportunities, and raise brand awareness. We'd love to include you next April!
CSE Women in Science & Engineering (WISE); Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
The College of Science and Engineering created the Women in Science and Engineering Initiative to promote diversity and strengthen community across gender identities by providing additional opportunities for professional and personal development. In recent years highlights of the WISE program include industry mentorship, community-building events, professional development opportunities, and industry site visits. Sponsors play an important role in supporting the creation and sustainability of impactful programs supporting the growing number of women in science and engineering.
CSE Student Organization Support; Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
The College of Science and Engineering is home to more than 70 active student organizations. These organizations span a variety of interests including specific engineering and science majors, gender diversity in STEM, racial/ethnic diversity in STEM, project-based groups, and much more! Student organizations plan activities and initiatives that provide excellent opportunities for student development; professionally, academically, and personally. Your support ensures that these organizations have access to resources to support their ongoing programs. Partners selecting this package may provide priorities for group sponsorship, however, specific groups will be determined by CSE Student Services through an established grants program open to CSE-related student organizations.
