Qualitative methods are critical for understanding the experiences and perspectives of our partners and communities, but often require specialized skills and extensive time commitments to successfully implement. Rapid qualitative methods seek to address these gaps. We will describe a simple rapid qualitative method, template analysis, which can be used to efficiently translate participant experiences and perspectives into actionable results.>

Objectives

The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to:

  1. Recognize when traditional or rapid qualitative methods would be more appropriate 
  2. Describe the steps of Template Analysis as a rapid qualitative method 
  3. Propose how to use Template Analysis in your own research program 

Competencies

For CPH recertification, the following competencies may be met:

Continuing Education Units
