Description

Use emotional intelligence to increase your professional and personal success.

Outline

While technical skills are important, research has shown that emotional intelligence (EI) is also an essential ingredient in workplace success.

EI is a set of emotional and social skills that establish how well we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, and cope with challenges. During this course, you will learn to develop your EI by focusing on core areas such as self-expression, self-perception, interpersonal skills, decision-making, and stress management.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • understand the importance of EI for success in your professional and personal life.
  • use emotions, relationships, and behaviors to improve your interactions and desired outcomes.
  • analyze your strengths and opportunities in the various facets of EI.
  • create an action plan for your own EI development.

Course Prework

This course includes the EQ-i 2.0 self-assessment, a powerful tool designed to reveal your emotional intelligence strengths and opportunities for growth. The assessment provides insights into how you perceive yourself, navigate relationships, manage stress, and make decisions. This online assessment will be sent prior to the course and should be completed before the course starts.
