Description

U of MN Lichenologist Natalia Koch will give an update on her lichen research and engage each participant in a citizen-science project to gather data for her research.

Lakewood Artist-in-Residence, Alyssa Gregory, will speak about her lichen-based artwork.

Participants will take home copies of Abby Glauser’s lichen illustrations, designed for future lichen curriculum.

Lakewood is also an Arboretum, and class will photograph lichens on a designated tree-walk and help create a MN Lichen Trail at Lakewood. A memorable day with science & art at historic Lakewood Cemetery.

Box lunch, coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided.

The training combines lectures, videos, small-group activities, and an opportunity to observe wolves (and other wildlife) in human care, as well as to learn more about the Wildlife Science Center (located about 50 minutes from downtown Minneapolis/St. Paul). It will be a howlin' good time!

Bring your own lunch and any special drinks. Coffee, tea, water, and snacks will be provided throughout the day. There will be indoor and outdoor activities; plan accordingly for your comfort.
