Learn how to build, manage, and adjust budgets that keep financial goals on track

Outline

Smart financial planning starts with a solid budget. In this course, you’ll learn how to build, manage, and adjust budgets that support your organization’s strategy and keep financial goals on track.

You’ll get hands-on with capital and operating budgets while exploring different budgeting approaches like incremental, zero-based, operational, rolling, and capital budgeting. Along the way, you’ll learn the basics of accounting principles as they relate to budgeting and how to choose the right method for your organization’s needs.

Through practical exercises, you’ll practice creating budgets, comparing projections with actual results, and making adjustments to improve financial outcomes. By the end of the course, you’ll have the tools to confidently align financial planning with your organization’s mission, manage resources effectively, and support smarter business decisions.
