Description

This all-day training will focus on naming and identifying the unique conditions of supervisory practice through a lens of care and curiosity, engaging in learning dialogue related to strategies and techniques to support supervisee-centered experiences, and allowing participants time to engage with peers to gather input and support. This interactive and engaging offering is intended to provide new and experienced supervisors space to explore together advanced concepts and complex dynamics of supervising clinicians who provide psychotherapy. Please bring your questions and curiosity to learn from others; this will be an interactive experiential and applied workshop.

Objectives

After completing this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Define the proposed culturally responsive model of supervision.
  • Identify core concepts and skills of the fundamental components of the model.
  • Understand the nuances and implications of applying this model across power and differences. 
  • Engage in self-reflective practices to build awareness and establish a plan for growth.
