In this course, you will build a solid base of knowledge in project management principles.
You’ll learn what a project is, how to manage a project, and the role of a project manager. On the way, you’ll learn tactics and frameworks you can use to improve your project management skills. This includes learning about different types of projects, the stages of a project, and what interpersonal skills are expected of a good project manager.
This course also provides a framework for anyone who lacks formal training in project management, but finds themselves involved in a project as a sponsor, manager, or team member.
At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
comprehend the multiple dimensions of project management.
outline the role of a project manager.
understand different types of organizations and how they affect project management.
describe the phases of a project and what needs to happen at each phase.
This course will also introduce you to the ten knowledge areas in the Project Management Body of Knowledge PMBOK® Guide (PMBOK® Guide is a registered mark of the Project Management Institute).
