This course prepares students, faculty, and healthcare providers to perofrm their roles in assessing the risk of falls of people over age 65 as part of the Right Side Up project, currently inFergus Falls, MN. The online model contains video demonstrations as well as self-assessments for home assessment, an overview of the scope of the public health issue as well as evidence-based practice to address it, and a section on interprofessional teamwork and its role in such a program. The course can be used as a model for falls risk assessment programs in other communities.
