This course provides an overview of where we’ve been and where we’re going in public sector unionization. We’ll have a brief overview of the organizing that led to the passage of the Public Employment Labor Relations Act (PELRA) in Minnesota. We’ll explore some of the key provisions of PELRA, along with other laws governing public sector employment. And we’ll take a look at recent developments in states like Wisconsin and Iowa and learn how a robust internal organizing program can keep us strong us even in challenging political times.
Course tuition is nonrefundable unless the LES office cancels a course. In the case of LES course cancellation, 100% of tuition will be refunded.
