Description

Growth in the retail food service industry is from the demand of grab-and-go, returnable containers, take-out, home-delivered meals and groceries which offer convenience for consumers. These new food delivery and ordering options can pose food safety challenges.

In this module, learn how to execute key food safety practices with grab-and-go food, returnable containers, catering and offsite service, take-out and delivery. This course also highlights green initiatives such as reducing waste with food donations and organic recycling for composting.

Approved for one-hour of continuing education credit to meet the State of Minnesota's four-hour requirement for renewing Certified Food Protection Manager certification.

Complete the self-paced course online day or night. Once registered, it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Complete it at home, work, or anywhere you have access to a computer.

Visit the Extension Food Safety Website for more details or to add more courses to your cart. Each course counts for one hour and four are needed for recertification.
