The goal of this module is to prepare public health professionals to implement strategies based on ethical frameworks that balance multiple interests, principles, and goals as part of a coordinated response.


This training module enables you to:

  • Identify ethical considerations and requirements that can inform a public health response to emergencies and disasters
  • Recognize the importance of context-specific ethical frameworks as decision-making tools
  • Describe the purpose and elements of an ethical framework.


This course contributes to the following Public Health Preparedness Competencies and PHEP Capabilities:
