0.1 CEU (1.0 contact hour)
This module discusses control strategies for physical hazards including those associated with noise, electrical and mechanical hazards and those associated with confined spaces and ergonomic stresses.
Upon completion of this module the student will be able to:
- describe engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment used in controlling workplace exposures associated with physical hazards including noise, electrical hazards, mechanicals hazards, thermal stress, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation
- identify controls for hazards associated with confined spaces
- identify controls for reducing ergonomic stresses
