This module discusses the application of theory to change health behavior and implementation of health promotion in the workplace setting.


This module should provide an understanding of the following:

  • Application of behavior change theory can enhance the design of programs, maximizing the potential for behavior change, ultimately impacting health.
  • Understanding key concepts of health promotion can increase the impact of improving health within a defined population.
  • Integration of health and business strategies using information available in the health management literature can build the business case for health promotion in a worksite setting.
