Do not miss this unique opportunity to explore and photograph Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve this autumn! Guided by 2018 artist in residence Frank Meuschke, you will be given exclusive access to Cedar Creek’s sand prairie, prairie swales, oak savanna and more. The day will begin with a brief presentation on the site’s history, then Frank’s presentation of the Cedar Creek landscape photography that earned him a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant for 2019. He will be available for your questions about photography and landscape throughout the day.

 

Program led by Frank Meuschke, professional artist, UMN Landscape Arboretum Photography Program Coordinator, and 2018 Artist in Residence at Cedar Creek ESR.

Suggested equipment: DSLR, ILM, or high quality compact camera.

Wide-angle, zoom, and/or macro lens, tripod or monopod

Sturdy shoes, outdoors clothing, insect repellent

Itinerary:

9:00 am -Arrival and welcome

9:15 - 10:15 am -Cedar Creek history and photography presentation

10:15 - 11:45 pm –Photography walk to Cedar Bog Lake

12:00 - 12:30 pm -Bagged lunch

12:30 – 4:30 pm –Photography walk to Intersection 53
