COURSE PURPOSE
This course endeavors to provide a focused update on cardiac arrhythmia care for your patients. Cardiac arrhythmias may indicate a serious medical problem that signals heart disease, an imminent stroke, or sudden cardiac death. A wide variety of arrhythmias are amenable to excellent treatment outcomes when physicians and nurses are well informed.

AUDIENCE
This conference is ideal for internal medicine, family medicine, and intensive care physicians, pediatricians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Following completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Recognize ECG differences between supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias.
• Describe new pacing techniques for heart failure.
• Explain changes in treatment for post-surgery arrhythmias.
• Identify novel anticoagulants.
• Explain atrial fibrillation and its treatment.

We invite submissions of questions surrounding your interesting and challenging cases. These may be submitted in advance via our online case submission. Cases may also be submitted on the morning of the conference; submission instructions will be available onsite at the registration desk.

Case questions could involve a general topic, a difficult case that you have encountered, or even common conditions for which you want more up-to-date information. If your case is selected, our course faculty will present the information and offer opinions to address your questions. If there is not enough time to discuss all cases, all written case submissions will be responded to by mail or email.

Registration fees include: educational activity registration, course materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon breaks. Special needs such as dietary restrictions, lactation room, etc. should be indicated in advance; requests cannot always be honored on site.

COURSE MATERIALS
Course materials will consist of a workbook designed to provide you space to capture information that is applicable to your interests, workplace and practice, along with speaker’s objectives, session takeaways, and resources (not presentations). Speaker presentations authorized for distribution will start being available for download seven days before the conference.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event you need to cancel your registration, the registration fee, less a $50 administrative fee, will be refunded if you notify us by 4:30 p.m. Central Time on March 25, 2016. No refunds will be made after this date.
