Description

At this workshop, colorful and cryptic organisms hiding in plain sight are revealed to those who stop to take a closer look. Join UMN Lichenologist Abby Glauser to explore a portion of Minnesota's often overlooked diversity - the lichens! Learn about the biology and ecology of lichens, identify common species in the field during a hike through Cedar Creek, and study their intricate morphology under the microscope. Space is limited and registration is required. Master Naturalists can get advanced training hours by registering through the MNats website (http://www.minnesotamasternaturalist.org/courses/) but must register and pay here as well. If you are a Cedar Creek member, contact Caitlin for a discount code to use when checking out. ($10, ages 16+)
