The curriculum will help creative professionals in their journey to becoming an entrepreneur. Topics include testing product or service viability, approaches for acquiring customers, and understanding the relationships between operational decision-making and business performance. In this process you will experience a simulation of what startups and entrepreneurship is like in the real world: chaos, uncertainty, impossible deadlines, insufficient time, conflicting inputs and resource constraints among others.

Objectives

  • Practice creation of a minimum viable product for a creative business idea
  • Learn through practice and reflection an evidence-based methodology to iteratively test and refine a creative business idea
  • Explain how operational decisions affect business performance
  • Understand how to prioritize financial and other social, cultural or environmental goals in a startup
