This book discussion will be centered around Nora Krug’s 2019 award-winning graphic memoir, Belonging: A German Reckons with History and Home. During the first half of the evening, Professor Mary Jo Maynes will speak about teaching with graphic memoirs and provide some context for the book. The second half of the evening will be devoted to a facilitated participant discussion of the book .  Registrants will recieve a  a light dinner and a U of MN parking pass. 

 

 Registrants must borrow or purchase  Krug’s (2019) Belonging: A German Reckons with History and Home.

Dr. Mary Jo Maynes is a professor of history at the University of Minnesota.

 

Nora Krug will speak at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020, time and specific location: TBD. The Talk is free and open to the public. It may also be streamed via Facebook. Check the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies website for more details.
