Description

White-tailed deer can have a significant impact on the vegetation in local woodlands. Help the University of Minnesota Extension by becoming a citizen scientist and helping to monitor how deer impact Minnesota's forests.

You will complete an online course (approximately one to two hours in length) where you'll learn about deer ecology, the impact of deer on woodlands, and how to use the AVID method. After completing the online course, instructor Matt Russell will mail you an AVID kit with instructions for measuring deer impacts in a woodland of your choosing.
