Description

This online class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about aquatic invasive species (AIS) management. If you would like to be a better informed consumer of lake management services, improve your understanding of AIS management strategies, or are considering new AIS control efforts, this class is for you!

Topics covered during this course include:
  • An introduction to AIS control and aquatic plant management
  • A better understanding of pesticides, how they work, and the regulations surrounding their use
  • Insight on non-chemical treatment options
  • A better ability to understand and evaluate management outcomes

This online-only course is open to anyone, including those outside of Minnesota, though certain portions of the course, such as permitting and regulations, will include information specific to Minnesota. The course remains open for a total of five weeks. You are free to complete the modules at your own pace, but be sure to revisit discussion forums at the end of each module to engage with your instructors and other participants.
