Description

Achieve your professional objectives through strategic, mindful, and nimble communication that builds trust and fosters productive collaboration.

Outline

Professional success requires excellent communication. However, this is easier said than done: even though we communicate all day long, we are often not as effective as we need to be. We are generally not adequately aware of how our behavior affects others or how our communication can create unintended perceptions and undesirable effects.

How often do you actively wonder what inferences people might be making about your intentions? To what extent do you understand the neuroscientific aspects of communication? How successful are you in minimizing cognitive biases during challenging conversations?

These topics are made practical during this six-hour course, because strategic, mindful, and nimble communication is vital to fostering trust and productive collaboration.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify how your own and other people’s experiences, assumptions, interests, stress responses, and communication styles interact.
  • Use a structured process to prepare, execute, evaluate, and course-correct a wide range of communications.
  • Define ways to minimize communication ambiguity and maximize the effectiveness of your conversations, including the most challenging ones.
