Description

History has shown us that change is not a one-time event. Now more than ever, change must be seen as a continual condition as it increases in volume, magnitude and pace. This constant movement requires nimble, thoughtful and vital decision-making skills. Peter Vail, in his book Managing as a Performing Art, states that we are in a state of “permanent white water”. And that was before COVID-19.

In this 4-part series, we’ll share decision-making tools and practices for leading during difficult times. The series will focus on both individual and group decision-making. Throughout the series we’ll address the questions:

  • What is happening in our brains when we are making decisions?
  • What can we do on the individual level to prevent decision-fatigue and overall burnout?
  • As a leader what can we do during disruptive times to provide more calm for our followers?
  • What decision-making tools can we use with groups to move forward? And how can we facilitate them with our remote teams?

This series will provide concrete tools and practices you can implement now as we wrap up 2020 and help you create a better normal in the new year.
