Fortunately, we live in a time where technology can connect many of us better than ever before. However, ongoing change and uncertainty are affecting many people’s emotions, decisions, and relationships. Building fulfilling remote work experiences and career opportunities requires a focused awareness and intention beyond employees logging in for online meetings.

This course will go beyond the basics to offer impactful communication and collaboration strategies as well as the chance to share best practices with your peers, whether you are new to remote work or have been navigating virtual boundaries for a while. 

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • respond to the misconceptions of remote work arrangements including the role of trust, accountability, and common goals as an individual contributor.
  • identify which foundational communication and other professional skills need to be amplified in a virtual environment and which new ones are needed.
  • understand the dynamics of a cross-cultural virtual team including influences of language and culture.
  • prioritize your engagement, sense of belonging, and collaboration for remote work satisfaction.
