Description

Immunization Delivery for Pharmacy Technicians is a self-directed course to provide background knowledge and hands-on training in the administration of immunizations for pharmacy technicians. In the online portion of this course, you will learn to recognize the public health impact of vaccine-preventable disease in the US; review briefly information regarding the influenza vaccine, covid vaccines, and where to find other information about recommended vaccines; as well as describe requirements for proper vaccine storage and handling. All of the materials and assessments for this course are housed in this Canvas course site.

Once you have finished the online portion of Immunization Delivery by passing an online quiz with an average score of 70% or better, and successfully demonstrate intramuscular and subcutaneous injection technique to complete the course. Demonstration may be in person at the College of Pharmacy or with an immunizing pharmacist.

Once you have finished the online portion of Immunization Delivery by passing an online quiz with an average score of 70% or better, you must attend a live Q & A with Dr. Philbrick and successfully demonstrate intramuscular and subcutaneous injection technique to complete the course. Demonstration may be in person at the College of Pharmacy or with an immunizing pharmacist.
