Interested in Project Management? Do you think it is only something used in business? Think again! Many government agencies at the federal level (NASA, EPA, DOE, etc.) and the state level, plus numerous non-profit organizations use Project Management to get things done. In this workshop, you will learn two of the basic concepts: scheduling and cost estimating. Facilitated by an instructor experienced in government, aerospace and medical device projects, the workshop is open to all graduate and professional students from any discipline interested in getting things done! To earn a Digital Badge at the Maroon badge, students must attend both workshops and pass a quiz to demonstrate comprehension. To earn a Gold badge, students must attend both workshops and apply principles discussed in the sessions to real life scenarios, after the workshops, to be reviewed by the facilitator.
Prerequisites: None. While students should be comfortable working with numerical data, no prior experience in accounting or statistics is needed.
