Description

As the second event in our Minnesota Forests and Carbon Series, this one-day, entirely field-based event will focus on relationships between silvicultural treatments and carbon sequestration and storage. We’ll visit a variety of stands on the Cutfoot Experimental Forest and Chippewa National Forest. These sites exhibit a range of silvicultural histories, often applied to similar pre-treatment conditions and supported by pre- and post-treatment data. You’ll leave this session with a stronger understanding of how silviculture affects forest carbon sequestration and storage now and through the stand’s future development.
