This workshop is  designed to meet the required 12 hours of General continuing education for SSTS certification in Minnesota. It focuses specifically on topics relevant to certified SSTS Maintainers, but can be taken by any SSTS professional.


To reflect the uncertainty due to COVID, at this time, we ask that every attendee bring a mask or appropriate face covering to class and be prepared to wear it while in the classroom. In addition, we reserve the right to update our protocols to support the health and safety of our learners, staff, and others at the venues. We will share detailed information about updated requirements as the date of the class approaches.

  • If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, medical-advised quarantine, caring for others, or another COVID-related cause, a full refund will be issued.

  • All cancellations for non-COVID reasons must be received in writing by OSTP staff (septic@umn.edu) 4 business days prior to the workshop. All refunds will be made in the same manner as payment minus a $30 cancellation fee. Classes must be cancelled and rebooked before the start date of the course to avoid forfeiting your entire course fee.

  • If a learner is asked to leave the class due for not complying with requirements for social distancing, facial coverings, or other protocols, the learner will forfeit their entire course fee.

  • In the event that classes are cancelled due to state, local, or University restrictions, a full refund will be issued.
