Description

This is for a special offering of the AIS Detectors Core Corse sponsored by Itasca Waters. If you are eligible to participate in this course, you should have received a coupon code, please have that code ready to complete your registration. If you are not eligible for the Itasca Waters sponsored offering, visit www.aisdetectors.org for other registration options.

The AIS Detectors Core Course is an introduction to aquatic invasive species (AIS) science, identification, and surveillance. You will learn how to identify and report invasive species, best practices for preventing the spread of AIS, relevant rules and regulations, and how to search for AIS on your own. This course consists of two portions: a self-paced online course and a 2-part live virtual workshop with the instructors. The live virtual workshop will be offered June 12 AND June 13th from 1pm-4pm.

The self-paced online content must be completed prior to the start of the live workshops. You must complete the self-paced content and both workshop sessions in order to receive credit for the course and become a Certified AIS Detector. A workshop box will be shipped to you with materials you'll be using during the live workshops, so be sure to include an accurate mailing address in your registration.

If you have questions about your eligibility to participate in this offering, please contact Bill Grantges: Bill.Grantges@itascaswcd.org
