We know how deeply you care about your land. That's why we've developed the Master Woodland Owner program and tailored the Avon Hills course especially for people who are interested in stewarding their woodland for the future. This comprehensive education program provides you with the resources you need to plan for your woodland to keep it healthy for future generations.

Education to Fit your Schedule

Eleven self-paced modules are offered online, each containing exercises and group discussions. Complete the work on your schedule, while still contributing to group learning. Three in-person meetings will be held to help answer your questions and to provide an opportunity to meet with and learn from your neighbors.

The first module of the online course will open on Thursday, June 20, 2019. The first in-person meeting of the Avon Hills course will occur at St. John's University on Friday, June 28, 2019.

A rate of $275 includes the first two family members. Additional members may register for $50. (Contact edombeck@umn.edu for the family member discount before registering.) The fee also includes a site visit to your woodland property, if interested, by one of the instructors.

This program is supported and co-sponsored Saint John’s Outdoor University, MN Forest Resources Council-West Central Landscape Committees, and USDA Forest Service-State and Private Forestry.
