This workshop will introduce foundational concepts for data visualization, and provide hands-on exercises using Google Sheets to create and edit charts and graphs using sample data. Part one of the workshop is a pre-recorded 45 minute video from last fall's session that introduces data visualization in terms of the graphical elements of charts, the importance of message, common chart types, and how to prepare data for visualization. Part two is a hands-on 60 minute Zoom session in which attendees will use Google Sheets to manipulate data, and create and edit a variety of charts and graphs.

All participants will have an opportunity to take a quiz to earn a Maroon Digital Badge from the Graduate School that can be displayed on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
