DescriptionThis course offers an overview of the practice of OHS from inception to the present day.
Upon completion of the History module, the student will be able to:
- Discuss the changing role of government in the protection of worker health and safety.
- Identify national priorities for research in the prevention and control of occupational injury and illness.
- Assess the impact of social trends on occupational health and safety.
- Identify the four major disciplines involved historically in occupational health and safety.
