Description

This course offers an overview of the practice of OHS from inception to the present day.

Objectives

Upon completion of the History module, the student will be able to:

  • Discuss the changing role of government in the protection of worker health and safety.
  • Identify national priorities for research in the prevention and control of occupational injury and illness.
  • Assess the impact of social trends on occupational health and safety.
  • Identify the four major disciplines involved historically in occupational health and safety.
