Description

The ADA Construction Recertification Course covers the construction requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and MnDOT Standard Plans and Specifications. This online course is designed to provide MnDOT Contract Administration Personnel, Contractors, and Consultant Inspectors with a detailed understanding of the construction of accessible curb ramps, sidewalks, and signal systems.

Certifications and Exam

ADA Construction Certifications are valid for three years, including the year in which the training was successfully completed for both certifications and recertifications. If your three-year certification has expired, you will be required to retake the 8-hour classroom training to obtain the ADA Construction Certification.

Each student will need to complete a 35 question exam that requires a 70 percent score to be certified. If you get between 60% and 69% on your first attempt at the exam, you will be allowed to take it one more time to achieve a 70%. If you get lower than 60% on the exam, you will have to re-register and take this course again in order to take the certification again.

A list of current certification numbers are listed below. After successful completion of the training and the exam, you will receive a certificate of completion and a new card with a new certification number will be sent to you.
