Description

The Preserving Food at Home training is an online course for those who want to safely preserve produce at home. Whether you are just getting started or have been preserving food for years, this course will increase your food safety and preservation knowledge. This course features general food preservation and safety concepts, plus specialized training in canning, fruit preservation, pickling, fermentation, dehydration and freezing.

After completing this course, you will:
  • Understand key ingredients and their food safety functions in each food preservation method.
  • Be able to identify research-based recipe sources and safe procedures.
  • Use safe food preservation methods at home.
  • Gain recommended resources and know experts to ask your future questions.
