EXT XFS.0026 - Tier 2 Cottage Food Producer Training (in-person)
Description
Are you located near Hennepin County and looking to start or grow your cottage food business? Join us for an in-depth and hands-on food safety training that meets the MDA’s Tier 2 requirements.
The training will include:
- Guidance on which foods you can safely and legally prepare and sell
- Practical tips and techniques for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen for safe food production
- Interactive, hands-on activities
- A printed certificate of completion
- Lunch and light refreshments
After completing the course and registering with the MDA, you’ll be able to legally sell up to $78,000 in cottage foods each year! The training will be led by Autumn Stoll- Food Safety Extension Educator and Lia Spaniolo- Urban Agriculture and Small Farms Extension Educator.
