Description

The Forestry for Minnesota Birds Field Day is a one-day, in-person, field-based workshop for natural resource professionals to explore applied forest management strategies that support forest bird and wildlife communities while promoting forest health and ecosystem resilience. The field day will highlight managed sites that employ silvicultural techniques designed to create and maintain spatial complexity and heterogeneity in disturbance-dependent native plant communities. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss management objectives, implementation challenges, and observed ecological outcomes directly with land managers and practitioners.
