This 3-session course is for new bargaining committee members and others who want to understand the process of bargaining a contract. We will cover preparing for bargaining, including surveying members and conducting bargaining research; creating proposals and counterproposals; negotiations tactics and strategies; and building power through member and community engagement. The course features a collective bargaining simulation that allows participants to put their new skills into practice.
Course tuition is nonrefundable unless the LES office cancels a course. In the case of LES course cancellation, 100% of tuition will be refunded.
