Description

Explore journeys and their effects on humanity through Elizabeth Wein’s Black Dove, White Raven. This literature unit explores why humans go on journeys and the long-term impacts on those individuals and their communities. Additionally, students will study the historical and modern effects of colonialism and emigration in East Africa and how global history and familial journeys affect where students live and why they have settled into those areas. Visit blackdovewhiteraven.weebly.com for more information and lesson plans. Brittany Stahlman from Roseville High School will be facilitating this workshop.  Free registration includes a parking voucher but participants will be responsible for purchasing or borrowing Black Dove White Raven.
