Description

This workshop prepares attendees for the MPCA Soils exam and provides  a detailed understanding of how to identify and understand specific soil properties that affect the treatment of sewage.  Participants also receive instruction and hands-on experience at a field location.  

 

This class does NOT meet the 6-hour soils continuing education requirement for all Designer and Inspector categories.

  • Coffee & rolls will be available in the morning and sodas in the afternoon
  • Lunch and accommodations are on your own
  • Bring calculator (with batteries)
  • Bring your Onsite Sewage Treatment Manual
  • Bring a chair for field portions of class
  • Additional materials: SSTS Manuals, Munsell Color Guide and Sand Cards will be available for purchase at the workshop. We accept credit cards, checks, and purchase orders. Munsell's and Sand Cards are most useful for those who are pursuing certification as a Designer or Inspector and will be used in soils workshops. You have/will receive an SSTS Manual included in the cost of Introduction to Onsite Systems, if you need an additional manual we will have some for sale. Laptop and cell phones will not be allowed during the exam.

A valid drivers license is required to take the exam.
