Description

This course prepares individuals for the MPCA Intermediate Design and Inspection exam. Intermediate Designers can design Type I - Type IV systems for domestic strength wastewater up to 2,500 gpd.  Intermediate Inspectors can review these designs, inspect these systems, and administer on-going compliance with their operating permits. 

PREREQUISITE: Full certification as a Basic Designer or Inspector.

  • Bring calculator (with batteries)
  • Bring your Onsite Sewage Treatment Manual
  • Additional materials: SSTS Manuals, Munsell Color Guide and Sand Cards will be available for purchase at the workshop. We accept credit cards, checks, and purchase orders. Munsell's and Sand Cards are most useful for those who are pursuing certification as a Designer or Inspector and will be used in soils workshops. You have/will receive an SSTS Manual included in the cost of Introduction to Onsite Systems, if you need an additional manual we will have some for sale. Laptop and cell phones will not be allowed during the exam.

A valid drivers license is required to take the exam.
